Saving Grace

I did makeup and hair for the cast of Saving Grace, here are a few photographs from the show.  I loved these folks, the actors were amazing, the show was a lovely confection full of laughter and they did an amazing job putting it all together!
Hold it right there or I'll blow your head off, Mister!
Lady, do I look like a stork?
Harriet has arrived all the way from Chillicothe, Ohio... just in time to catch Gracie and Alex in a rather delicate position with a video camera in Walter's hand!
And don't you worry your pretty little head about a thing!
Gregor and Harriet know how to make an entrance!
The gentlemen on the left grew out his hair for the play and I literally set his hair in rollers each evening and proceeded to give him a "fro."  He was so nice about it, and it was right for the show, but to do that to man's hair seemed so wrong.  The audience responded when he came on stage for the first time, each evening and that became part of the fun of the show.
OOoooOOo, that's SO roMANtic!
Gregor (Kevin) sportin a fine pair of mutton chops.  And bless her heart, Harriot (Wendi) is such a beautiful woman but had to hide behind those horrible glasses for the show.  And Walter, the insurance salesmen... who has actually sold insurance.  Briefly, years ago.
"And another thing..."
   "Right on!"
This was one of my favorite scenes, these three were a RIOT!
The fabulous cast of "Saving Grace."  They were fantastic!  And the people behind the scenes were marvelous also!  I enjoyed them all a great deal!  And now that the show is over I miss them.  Another day, another show.

Happy Creating,

PEACE, joY and hoppiness...

Progress! I've got one row added to the center square now. Lots and lots of dancing frogs!! I've still got more blocks staring back at me on my table and it's only about 50 x 50 now. So I'll let it rest a while and then see what it needs when I come back to it next. It is fun to see the pieces go together!

Teensy Bit John Deere

But I'm hoppy with it anyway! (Now exactly how many times am I going to use the word "hoppy" in front of my kids before they learn to roll their eyes?) LOL!! I love these dancing frogs!

Peace, Joy and Hoppiness

I’ve started a new project! It will be a twin sized kid’s quilt. I’m calling it “Peace, Joy and Hoppiness.” Yeah, it has frogs in the fabric. Yay! I’ve got about 16 blocks string bean pieced and that will certainly be part of the design somewhere. I’m also going to throw in some letters, cause really, it needs to say “hoppiness” on it SOMEWHERE! And… well… I’ll take this one as it comes. I’ve sketched some, but I’m thinking I’m not going to do a whole lot of planning on this one. I’m just going to make some fun stuff, piece it together and then make stuff to go in the empty spots until I’m done.

As I started into it, I started to see "John Deere" in my color combination and had a momentary flash of "Oh NO!" So with that in mind I'll be working with the colors to make sure that John Deere does not make an unintended appearance in this quilt project! Nothing wrong with Deere ol' John, mind you, but such things are for outdoors! Not inside! And not with my dancing frogs. LOL!
